Here is the answer to these questions and a good news from Indian Oil Corporation to save money on LPG usage.

A recent news release from the IOC (Indian Oil Corporation) states that there is no need to pay delivery charges for LPG delivery boy or to LPG distributing agency for delivering gas cylinder at home. The charges are actually included in the LPG price which is printed on the slip.

The distribution agency should deliver LPG cylinders free of cost, up to 5 km. According to the regulations, delivery up to 5-10 km can be charged Rs 20 while it is Rs 25 for 10-15 km. The delivery charge for beyond 15 km should be Rs 30. The delivery charges also should be recorded on the bill.

Indian Oil Corporation also strictly instructed LPG distributing agencies to check the weight of the cylinder and to take proper leakage control measures for the customer’s safety.

Indian Oil Corporation, which has 12,000 dealers, 64 thousand suppliers and 12.5 crore customers across the country, supplies 30 lakh cylinders every day.
