Instagram’s biggest move against TikTok and SnapChat.

Instagram’s biggest move against TikTok and SnapChat.

I hope you were using Instagram and you might be acquainted with the Boomerang function of the application, which helps users to create back-and-forth video clips. Boomerang has been available to users for more than five years, and there has been no major upgrade that really makes a difference to customers. That’s going to stop now.

Instagram is becoming desperate to keep its reign alive, but the growing popularity of Snapchat and the global exposure of TikTok make it difficult to stay afloat. Instagram’s rivals have a lot to offer and images filters and editing tools are just part of the big scheme. Nonetheless, Instagram is catching up with the biggest update to its iconic Boomerangs in years.

What’s New an Instagram’s Boomerang effects?

There are 3 new Boomerang filters introduced by Instagram for its users that will allow new moments to be created and interesting perspectives to be added.

When users swipe right into Instagram to access Stories and then swipe left onto the shutter slider icon, there will be fresh effects and a convenient option to trim video clips. Before we get to the tools, it is worth noting that video trimmer is incredibly useful in giving a catchy start to your video.

The video’s first few seconds determine whether an audience is viewing the whole film or not. If there’s a gripping start audiences would probably stick until the end.

Finally, Instagram lets users choose where the video starts and how it ends by trimming the unnecessary bits.

But it’s the three latest Boomerang tools that get all the attention. TechCrunch also confirmed that users will be able to use SlowMo, Echo and Duo to render their videos fun on Instagram.

Here’s how every filter works:

SlowMo: As the name suggests, this feature slows down the Boomerang to catch every detail at half the speed of normal Boomerang. Through SlowMo, the video will be viewed in each direction for two seconds instead of a second.

Echo: A unique filter produces a double vision impact for your images, which tends to be blurring. A transparent track emerges behind anything moving to add a tipsy look to your videos

Duo: This filter easily rewinds the Boomerang video to the beginning with a digitized effect.

If you’ve used Snapchat, these filters don’t seem to be new to you. Actually, Snapchat and TikTok have far too many effects to produce compelling videos. It’s a good start to Instagram, but the Facebook-owned social network has to work twice as hard to keep up with its competitors.
